These fun and cheeky wall hangings were the result of my experiments on the laser cutter.
Each banner measures 6" tall, and is made from 1/4" Birch plywood with quilt shop quality fabric permanently fused to it.
Each piece has been precisely laser cut after the two were fused together. This technique causes some scorching along the edges, and there inst really a work around that I've found yet.
To help the banners keep their color, I have sprayed them with a water based non toxic semi gloss sealant. The sealant made some of the banners have a rough feel and some a glossy feel. I never know how the fibers will react. It all adds to the handmade nature of each banner. I took up close photos to show the differences.
To top it all off, each banner is hung from a faux leather strap!
