This is yet another piece in my "Sad James" series. I have been learning how to properly use, and then train others how to use, a flatbed UV Resin Ink Printer at the makerspace i'm part of. It has opened up a whole new way of putting my art out in to the world, and this piece is one of the first!
It measures 10.75" across and is 1/4" thick. The "Sad James" illustration was printed onto baltic birch plywood using the super durable resin ink mentioned above with a white layer as its base and then color on top. Afterwards I cut each one into a circle using a laser cutter. There is a sawtooth hanger on the back to make hanging it super easy!
Since the ink used is water, weather and UV resistant, this piece is super easy to dust and clean.
I have only made a few to keep on hand, but will be stocking more as needed.
What else should I print on wood?
